    1. When I think of the word Happy I realise I am happy and at peace when my family is together and we are doing things together. However it is also true that Happy is a state of mind which differs from individual to individual and depends on the circumstances. A person feels happy when he gets a job because he has been frantically looking for one as he needs financial security. A child might be happy at school as she is lonely at home and enjoys the company of other children. Hence, we all need to be empathetic and appreciate every individual's perspective.

    2. Happy for me = Playing with my pet dog. Someone may like to eat dog meat. That person will be happy on eating a dog. I won't want that person to eat my dog. I love my dog and I don't want it to be killed and become food in someone's plate. I don't see my dog as eatable meat. For that matter I don't see any dog as eatable food because my cultural background doesn't consider dog meat as a cuisine. Contrary to my beliefs and perspectives somebody may look at a dog as a tasty cuisine. I might think that person's belief as cruel. That person may think of me as a hypocrite as I eat chicken but I don't want people to eat dog meat. It is a complicated issue having grave and far reaching moral implications. I may try to convince that person not to eat dog meat. That person may try to persuade me to taste the dish. How do we resolve that? I can't force him not to eat dog meat. He can't force me to eat dog meat. Perhaps the best way to resolve the issue is to respect each other's choice of food and co-exist with empathy, so long as that person doesn't make it personal by trying to eat my dog or for that matter any dog under my explicit protection. We need to respect boundaries and thus ensure cultural freedom for both the eater and the non-eater.
