Poor academic and economic background ,lack of MLLS ,,high teacher -student ratio ,lack of motivation ,opportunities etc are no doubt challenges for learning in a secondary school ,,,,but the most dangerous threat that a learner faces is from lack of self control ,self discipline, self motivation ,and lack of a goal which is making a mockery of the education system . Easy access to digital world is taken as a breakthrough to enslave the immature minds into robots who are self centred ,pleasure seking , deriving pleasure alone and nothing else interest them except self satisfaction with no respect towards any rule ,value system or hard work . .

  114. There are infact numerous challenges that most of the secondary schools face with respect to student-learning.

    1) The big difference in student -teacher ratio is a critical problem in many schools which makes it difficult for teachers to give proper individual attention to all learners.

    5) Violent behaviour towards other students (bullying or use of abusive language) is yet another issue.

    6) Peer pressure - can be negative too many times.

    7) Family based issues like lack of proper ambience at home, parental discord and lack of parental involvement in their day to day activities, lack of technical support/ technology at home.

    8) Many children belong to economically backward classes and it is difficult for them to procure gadgets especially in todays’ scenario when online classes are being held .

    9) Absence of life skills training and lack of awareness about increasing competition in the world.

    10) Many children still lack proper and effective communication skills, even after 7-8 years of schooling.

    11) Lack of initiative from student's side - In every school, there will ne atleast a few students who are demotivated to learn. Some even classify subjects and periods as productive and non productive. The subjects which they will no longer require in higher education are looked down by a few.

    12) Distractions from social media is a challenge.

    13) Lack of correlation between academics and job causes loss of interest.

    14) Lack of proper guidance and counselling is another issue.

    15) Over protective parents too sometimes play a destructive role.

The positive side is that most of these are issues can be solved to a big extent through the effective co-operation of authorities, parents and teachers. Proper financial support can be extended by the local authorities/ govt/ school pta to students who lack the same. Proper counselling facilities must be there in all schools.
